ANCHIALO (АНХИАЛО in Cyrillic) is the ancient name of the town of Pomorie, which is in fact where our products are made – in a modern facility right on the shore of the Pomorie salt lake, known throughout the world for its unique Pomorie lye and mud. The brand name is an original nod to history. This retrospective feel is reinforced by the black-and-white (retro) product labels, which preserve the memories of times past. Salt, mud and lye production in the area of the Pomorie and Burgas bays is the reason both towns came into being in the first place. Combined with its unique geographical location, remarkable natural setting and climate, Pomorie is often called the SPA capital of the Balkan Peninsula. The unique healing properties of the Pomorie lye and mud found in the region are known worldwide, and this is why thousands of visitors choose Pomorie for an unforgettable holiday, treatment and recovery. Traditionally, Russian- and German-speaking visitors have known lye and mud products best, but in recent years these natural wonders have become popular all over the world and, to our delight, among Bulgarians themselves.

All ANCHIALO products are made using a technology that preserves the valuable properties of Black Sea (medicinal) lye in their composition, without adding any harmful chemical substances. You will find our products in pharmacies, organic shops, perfumeries, drugstores and the better online stores.
