We never part with them at work or at home, forgetting that during the coronavirus pandemic we need to disinfect not only our hands, but everything we have to hand. You may not know it, but our smartphones can harbour viruses and bacteria for up to 96 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Many gadget users never clean them for fear of causing damage. We don&#8217;t always pick up the phone with clean hands, and we often hold it close to our face. And as we know, touching your face with your hands in public places is not recommended!<\/p>\n<h3>How can we avoid infection?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>follow strict hand hygiene: after visiting public places, wash your hands thoroughly for 30 seconds, then dry them with a disposable paper towel;<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 if you have no way to wash your hands, use antiseptic wipes or liquid disinfectant products (gels, sprays, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 treat the phone itself regularly with antiseptics, especially when the body of the device comes into contact with your face;<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 if the phone has a case, this should be cleaned too;<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 after visiting public spaces, public transport or shops, you should wash not only your hands and face, but also wipe down those items you continue to use at home;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What should we disinfect with?<\/h3>\n<p>To fight flu viruses and SARS, as well as the coronavirus, it is best to use alcohol-based wipes and gels containing at least 60% alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>The popular antiseptic chlorhexidine is designed to protect against bacteria, but in a pinch you can use it as well.<\/p>\n<p>No alcohol wipes or disinfectants to hand? Wipe the surface of the device with an alcohol-based solution. Pour a little water into a spray bottle and add surgical spirit\/hydrogen peroxide.
